Getting Started
Getting Started takes you from an empty Visual Studio project to a Windows Forms application with a working word processor, and from there to documents that your code builds, merges, prints and saves as PDF. Every tutorial is a short set of steps with code that compiles, and none of them expects you to know TX Text Control already.
Before You Begin
Every tutorial assumes the following setup:
- The setup on your development machine. Install the full or the trial version of TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms 34.0. It provides the Visual Studio designers, the toolbox tab and the local package source Text Control Offline Packages. See Installing the Product.
- Visual Studio and .NET. The tutorials use Visual Studio with .NET 8 or higher, for example .NET 10, and C#. One tutorial shows a .NET Framework 4.8 project. See System Requirements.
- An edition with the features you try. The ribbon, mail merge and PDF are part of the Professional and Enterprise editions, and PDF/A and form fields of the Enterprise edition. See Editions and Feature Availability.
