Description

Sets the current text input position in the footnote section at the end of the current footnote text, so that the text can be edited or formatted.

Syntax

public bool Edit();

Return Value

The return value is true, if the text input position could be set. Otherwise it is false.

Examples

The following example adds and configures a source note at the current input position by using Footnote.Edit.

Footnote footnote = new("Source: FY 2026 annual report");
textControl.Footnotes.Add(footnote, false);

if (footnote.Edit())
{
    Console.WriteLine("Edit completed successfully.");
}
