Before you install TX Spell .NET for WPF 11.0, check what it needs: the framework your application targets, the Windows version you develop on and your Visual Studio. The requirements are modest, because TX Spell .NET consists of managed assemblies only, with no native libraries of its own. Each requirement has a page of its own with the details.

### At a Glance

| Requirement | Supported |
|---|---|
| .NET | .NET 8 and .NET 9, with the NuGet package `TXTextControl.TXSpell.WPF.SDK`; prepared for .NET 10 |
| .NET Framework | 4.5, 4.6, 4.7 and 4.8, with the assemblies of the setup |
| Windows for development | Windows 10 and Windows 11 |
| Visual Studio | Visual Studio 2022 |
| Languages | C# and Visual Basic |
| Processor architectures | Any: the assemblies are compiled for AnyCPU and run in 32-bit and 64-bit processes |
| TX Text Control | Optional; TX Spell .NET 11.0 was released together with TX Text Control 33.0, and the tutorials of this documentation use 34.0 |

TX Spell .NET doesn't require TX Text Control: it checks the text of any control, and the package `TXTextControl.TXSpell.Core.SDK` checks text in code without any user interface. When you use it with TX Text Control, the requirements of TX Text Control apply to your application as well.

### Where to Start

Read [.NET and .NET Framework](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-spell-dotnet-wpf/installation/requirements/dotnet/llms-full.txt) first: the framework decides whether your project uses the NuGet packages or the assemblies of the setup. - [Visual Studio](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-spell-dotnet-wpf/installation/requirements/visual-studio/llms-full.txt): Visual Studio 2022 for TX Spell .NET for WPF: C# or Visual Basic, WPF Application templates, the Offline Packages source, and XAML resources, not a toolbox.
- [Windows Versions](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-spell-dotnet-wpf/installation/requirements/windows/llms-full.txt): WPF apps with TX Spell .NET run on Windows 10 and 11, TXTextControl.TXSpell.Core.SDK on Linux too; a target runtime like win-x64 only with TX Text Control.
