---

TX Text Control ActiveX is a text processor in a single ActiveX control. You create all kinds of text-based applications with the programming style of Visual Basic, and your users get formatting and display features that are otherwise found only in large word processing packages: page view, tables, images, text frames, headers and footers, marked text fields, hypertext links and XML documents.

The control loads and saves RTF, HTML, XML, DOC and DOCX documents and exports PDF. It runs on a form of a Visual Basic 6.0 application and, as an automation server, in Active Server Pages on Microsoft Internet Information Server.

### Who This Documentation Is for

It is written for developers who build applications with ActiveX controls, most of all in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and in ASP with VBScript. It assumes you know your development environment, and nothing about TX Text Control.

### How This Documentation Is Organized

- **[Overview](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/overview/llms-full.txt)** introduces the controls and objects, and tells you how to obtain technical support.
- **[Installation Guide](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/installation/llms-full.txt)** lists the system requirements, and shows how to install TX Text Control on a server and pass the serial number in C++.
- **[Getting Started](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/getting-started/llms-full.txt)** builds a simple word processor in Visual Basic, step by step.
- **[Document Editor](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/document-editor/llms-full.txt)** describes how to use TX Text Control with Microsoft Visual Basic: views, files, formatting, styles, lists, sections, tables, images, text frames, headers and footers, footnotes, fields, form fields, track changes, comments, protection, XML, printing, the bars and the built-in dialog boxes.
- **[Mail Merge](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/mail-merge/llms-full.txt)** merges database data into templates and stores documents in a database.

- **[Integration Guide](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/integration/llms-full.txt)** demonstrates the TX Text Control features in Microsoft Internet Information Server with ASP, and covers the automation server and DPI awareness.
- **[Deployment Guide](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/deployment/llms-full.txt)** shows how to distribute your applications and their language resources.
- **[What's New](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/whats-new/llms-full.txt)** discusses the new features of each release from version 11.0 to 34.0.
- **[API Reference](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/llms-full.txt)** documents every property, method and event of the controls and objects in alphabetical order. It also sorts them by programming category, lists the data types, and describes the mouse and keyboard interface and the supported formula functions.
