# GetBaseLinePos Method

> Returns the baseline position of the line with the given zero-based index in twips, from the upper left corner of the text; 0 if the line does not exist.

Returns the baseline position of the specified line. The dimensions are given in [twips](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/document-editor/viewing/#measure-in-twips) with an origin at the upper left corner of the text. The relationship between the upper left corner of the text and the upper left corner of the control can be obtained with the [ScrollPosY](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/scrollposy-property/llms-full.txt) property.

TXTextControl.GetBaseLinePos Line
```

### Parameters

| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Line | Specifies the index of the line whose baseline position is returned. The index of the first line is zero. |

### Return Value

The method returns the requested baseline position in [twips](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/document-editor/viewing/#measure-in-twips). It is zero if an error has occurred or if the specified line does not exist.
