# ObjectInsertionMode Property

Gets or sets an image's, text frame's, signature field's or OLE object's formatting behavior. The property's value must be a member of the **ObjectInsertionModeConstants** enumeration. The [ObjectCurrent](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/objectcurrent-property/llms-full.txt) property determines the object.

| txAsCharacter (1) | The image, text frame, signature field or OLE object is treated in the text like a single character. Objects with this behavior can be inserted with the [ImageInsertAsChar](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/imageinsertaschar-method/llms-full.txt), [TextFrameInsertAsChar](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/textframeinsertaschar-method/llms-full.txt) or [ObjectInsertAsChar](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/objectinsertaschar-method/llms-full.txt) method. |
| txAnchoredToParagraph (2) | The image, text frame, signature field or OLE object is anchored to a paragraph, which means that it is moved with the paragraph it is anchored to. Text can either flow around or is continued below the object depending on the [ObjectTextflow](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/objecttextflow-property/llms-full.txt) property. Objects with this behavior can be inserted with the [ImageInsert](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/imageinsert-method/llms-full.txt), [TextFrameInsert](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/textframeinsert-method/llms-full.txt) or [ObjectInsert](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/objectinsert-method/llms-full.txt) method. |
