# SectionSelect Method

> Selects the section with a given number, starting at 1, in TXTextControl and returns True, or False when the section does not exist or cannot be selected.

### Syntax

```vbscript
TXTextControl.SectionSelect Number
```

### Parameters

| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Number | Specifies the section's number. The first section has the number 1. To get the number of the section at the text input position the [SectionAtInputPos](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/sectionatinputpos-property/llms-full.txt) property can be used. |

### Return Value

The return value is True, if the specified section could be selected. Otherwise, it is False. False is returned, if the specified section does not exist.
