Read on for the features, properties, methods and events that version 32.0 added since version 31.0. Version 32.0 was released in September 2023, together with TX Text Control .NET Server, TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms and TX Text Control .NET for WPF 32.0. ### New Features - **MFC version.** The Microsoft Foundation Classes library has been updated from version 12.0 to version 14.0 (MFC140U.DLL). - **Footnotes.** A footnote explains, comments on or gives a reference for something in a document. It consists of a reference mark in the text and the footnote itself at the bottom of the page, which starts with a footnote mark of the same number. - **Insert a footnote.** [FootnoteInsert](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/footnoteinsert-method/llms-full.txt) inserts the reference mark at the current text input position and the footnote mark at the bottom of the page. It then sets the text input position behind the footnote mark, so that the end user can type the footnote text. The text takes every formatting attribute, and tables and images can be added to it. - **Numbering.** All footnotes are numbered from the beginning to the end of the document, from a starting number and in a number format: Arabic numbers, Roman numbers, or small or capital letters. When you insert a footnote in front of existing ones, the numbers of all following footnotes are increased and updated automatically. - **Highlighting.** [FootnoteHighlightMode](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-activex/reference/txtextcontrol/footnotehighlightmode-property/llms-full.txt) highlights the reference marks and the footnote marks, which gives an overview of the footnotes. - **Identifiers.** Each footnote has a unique identifier, which TX Text Control creates and manages internally and which identifies the footnote in code.
