On the server, it brought highlighting for every kind of text field and two helper methods in the Document Editor's JavaScript API. Version 27.0 was released on May 28, 2019, as TX Text Control X17, together with TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms, TX Text Control .NET for WPF and TX Text Control ActiveX. Its last full installer, that of Service Pack 2, is dated February 6, 2020. The features below are the ones added since version 26.0. ### Version 27.0 at a Glance | Area | What is new | |---|---| | Text fields | Highlighting of hypertext links, application fields, page number fields and all other text fields | | Document Editor | Base64 encoding and decoding of Unicode strings in the JavaScript API | ### Text Fields Every kind of text field can be highlighted with a color, for example a [HypertextLink](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-server/reference/txtextcontrol/hypertextlink/llms-full.txt), an [ApplicationField](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-server/reference/txtextcontrol/applicationfield/llms-full.txt) such as a merge field or a [PageNumberField](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-server/reference/txtextcontrol/pagenumberfield/llms-full.txt). - **When a field is highlighted.** [TextField.HighlightMode](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-server/reference/txtextcontrol/textfield/highlightmode-property/llms-full.txt) takes `Always`, `Never` or `Activated`. With `Activated`, the field is highlighted only while it contains the input position and the control has the input focus. The default is `Never`. - **The color.** [TextField.HighlightColor](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-server/reference/txtextcontrol/textfield/highlightcolor-property/llms-full.txt) sets the color. It has to be semitransparent, with an alpha value below 255, so that the text of the field stays visible, and it can then be combined with other colors of the text. The default is black with an alpha value of 60, a light gray.
