One NuGet package brings TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms into a .NET 8 or higher project: `TXTextControl.TextControl.WinForms.SDK`. It contains the controls, the document engine for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows and your license, and the same package serves the Enterprise and Professional editions. Below is what the package contains, how its versions relate to service packs, and which other packages a Windows Forms application can add.

### TXTextControl.TextControl.WinForms.SDK

| | |
|---|---|
| Package ID | `TXTextControl.TextControl.WinForms.SDK` |
| Current version | 34.0.5, released on September 14, 2026 |
| Target framework | .NET 8, for Windows Forms applications on .NET 8 or higher |
| Dependencies | None |
| Editions | One package for the Enterprise and Professional editions |
| Where it comes from | The local source **Text Control Offline Packages** installed by the setup, or the Text Control Private NuGet Feed. It is not published on nuget.org. |

[Configuring Package Sources](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-winforms/installation/nuget/sources/llms-full.txt) describes both sources. The package from the private feed is meant for compiling on build servers and in CI/CD pipelines, and a development machine that uses the designers needs the setup.

### What the Package Contains

| Folder | Contents |
|---|---|
| *lib/net8.0* | The .NET assemblies: *TXTextControl.dll*, *TXTextControl.Windows.Forms.dll* with the controls, *TXTextControl.Windows.Forms.Design.dll*, *TXTextControl.Server.dll* with `ServerTextControl`, *TXDocumentServer.dll* and *TXDocumentServer.Windows.Forms.dll* with mail merge, and the assemblies for barcodes, drawings, images and PDF |
| *lib/net8.0/de* | German resources for the built-in texts |
| *runtimes/win-x86/native*, *runtimes/win-x64/native* | The native libraries of the document engine, one set for 32-bit and one for 64-bit Windows |
| *contentFiles* | The license file *txtextcontrol.winforms.license* |
| *tools* | The toolbox manifest, which adds the items to the toolbox tab **TX Text Control 34.0** |

- **The license file** is added to your project and embedded into your assembly as a resource when you build. It contains encrypted serial number information that belongs to your installation, so it must not be passed on or distributed. See [Development Licenses](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-winforms/installation/licensing/development/llms-full.txt).
- **The native libraries** are chosen by the bitness of your application. See [32-bit and 64-bit Applications](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-winforms/installation/requirements/32-bit-64-bit/llms-full.txt).
- **The toolbox manifest** lists `TextControl`, `ButtonBar`, `RulerBar`, `StatusBar`, `Ribbon` with its tabs, `Sidebar`, `ServerTextControl` and `MailMerge`. See [Visual Studio Toolbox and Designer](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-winforms/installation/toolbox/llms-full.txt).

### Versions and Service Packs

Each major version of TX Text Control has its own package versions, and the third number counts the service packs: 34.0.0 is the release of version 34.0, 34.0.1 is Service Pack 1, and so on up to 34.0.5, Service Pack 5, the current version. [Service Packs](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-winforms/whats-new/service-packs/#version-34-0) in What's New lists each package version with its release date.

The package of version 33.0 has the versions 33.0.0 to 33.0.3, and a project moves from one major version to the next by changing to the new package version. See [Installing and Updating Packages](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-winforms/installation/nuget/install-update/llms-full.txt) for service packs and [Upgrading from Previous Versions](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-winforms/installation/upgrading/previous-versions/llms-full.txt) for new major versions.
