TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms is a Windows product from end to end: its setups are Windows installers, its native libraries are built for Windows, and the applications you build run on Windows. The Windows versions Text Control lists for development are below, followed by the Windows components that the finished application needs on the user's machine.

### Windows for Development

The requirements documentation lists these Windows versions for development:

| Windows | Versions |
|---|---|
| Client | Windows 10 and Windows 11 |
| Server | Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022 |

### Windows on the User's Machine

Your application runs on Windows. The NuGet package contains native libraries for 32-bit Windows (*win-x86*) and 64-bit Windows (*win-x64*) and none for other operating systems or processor architectures. The setup installs the same two sets for .NET Framework projects, in *Assembly\\bin* and *Assembly\\bin64*.

### Windows Components

Two Windows components have to be present on the machine that runs your application:

| Microsoft Visual C++ runtime (*VCRUNTIME140.DLL*) | The native libraries of TX Text Control | The Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017, in the 32-bit or 64-bit version that matches your application |
| Microsoft XML parser 3.0 (*MSXML3.DLL*, *MSXML3A.DLL* and *MSXML3R.DLL*) | The XML features of TX Text Control | The Windows system directory. For redistribution, Microsoft's redistribution policy applies. |
