# RibbonListView.RibbonListViewItem.IsEditable Property

### Description

Gets or sets a value indicating whether this RibbonListViewItem is editable. If the property is set to true, the RibbonListViewItem can be edited by a text box that appears on double clicking the item, pressing the F2 key or using the [RibbonListView.ActivateEditItemTextBox](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-winforms/reference/txtextcontrol-windows-forms-ribbon/ribbonlistview/activateedititemtextbox-method/llms-full.txt) method. The default value is false.

### Examples

The following example uses `RibbonListViewItem.IsEditable` to configure is editable as part of the ribbon list view item workflow. The configured value is checked before the workflow continues.

### Limitations

A RibbonListViewItem can only be editable, if the corresponding [RibbonListView.ViewMode](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-winforms/reference/txtextcontrol-windows-forms-ribbon/ribbonlistview/viewmode-property/llms-full.txt) property is set to `ListViewMode.Text` or `ListViewMode.Icon | ListViewMode.Text`.
