If TX Text Control .NET for WPF is new to you, the tutorials of Getting Started are the shortest way to working code. They begin with an empty Visual Studio project and a window that contains a word processor, and continue with documents that your code creates, merges with data, prints and exports as PDF. Each tutorial is a short sequence of steps with XAML and C# that compile, written for WPF developers who haven't used TX Text Control before.

### Before You Begin

Every tutorial assumes the following setup:

- **The setup on your development machine.** Install the full or the trial version of TX Text Control .NET for WPF 34.0. It provides the toolbox tab **TX Text Control 34.0**, the XAML Designer support and the local package source **Text Control Offline Packages**. See [Installing the Product](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/setup/llms-full.txt).
- **Visual Studio and .NET.** The tutorials use Visual Studio, C# and .NET 8 or higher, for example .NET 10, with the package `TXTextControl.TextControl.WPF.SDK`. One tutorial shows a .NET Framework 4.8 project. See [System Requirements](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/requirements/llms-full.txt).
- **An edition with the features you try.** The Standard edition covers the editor with its toolbars, rulers and status bar. The ribbon tabs, DOCX, mail merge and PDF export need the Professional or Enterprise edition, and PDF/A and form fields the Enterprise edition. See [Editions and Feature Availability](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/overview/editions/llms-full.txt).
