---

`TXTextControl.TextControl.WPF.SDK` is the only NuGet package a WPF project on .NET 8 or higher needs for TX Text Control .NET for WPF. It brings the WPF controls, the document engine for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, mail merge and your license. The tables below list what is inside, which package version belongs to which service pack, and the optional packages that add spell checking or Markdown.

### TXTextControl.TextControl.WPF.SDK

| | |
|---|---|
| Package ID | `TXTextControl.TextControl.WPF.SDK` |
| Current version | 34.0.5, released on September 14, 2026 |
| Target framework | .NET 8 (`net8.0`), for WPF applications on .NET 8 or higher |
| Dependencies | None |
| Editions | The same package ID for every edition. The license that comes with it decides the edition. |
| Where it comes from | **Text Control Offline Packages**, the local package source of the setup, or the Text Control Private NuGet Feed. It is not on nuget.org. |

The package description reads: "This NuGet package includes the required files to develop a .NET 8.0 or higher WPF application with TX Text Control 34.0." A .NET Framework project doesn't use it; it references the assemblies that the setup installs. See [.NET and .NET Framework](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/requirements/dotnet/llms-full.txt).

On the private feed, the package serves compiling on build servers and in CI/CD pipelines. It contains no design-time components, so a machine on which you work with the XAML designer needs the setup. [Configuring Package Sources](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/nuget/sources/llms-full.txt) compares the two sources.

### What the Package Contains

| Folder | Contents |
|---|---|
| *lib/net8.0* | The .NET assemblies, from *TXTextControl.WPF.dll* with the WPF controls to *TXDocumentServer.dll* with mail merge; [The Assemblies](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/xaml-namespaces/#the-assemblies) lists each one with its namespaces |
| *lib/net8.0/de* | German resources of *TXTextControl.dll*, *TXDocumentServer.dll*, *TXBarcode.dll* and *TXDrawing.dll* |
| *runtimes/win-x86/native*, *runtimes/win-x64/native* | The native libraries of the document engine, such as *tx34.dll* and the format filters *tx34\_doc.dll*, *tx34\_dox.dll*, *tx34\_pdf.dll* and *tx34\_rtf.dll*, in one set for 32-bit and one for 64-bit Windows |
| *contentFiles/any/any* | The license file *txtextcontrol.wpf.license*, with the build action **Embedded Resource** |
| *tools* | *VisualStudioToolsManifest.xml*, which lists the toolbox items of *TXTextControl.WPF.dll* |

- **The license file** becomes part of your project and is compiled into your assembly as a resource. It holds encrypted serial number information of your installation: keep it to yourself and never ship it. [Development Licenses](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/licensing/development/llms-full.txt) explains it.
- **The native libraries** that are used depend on the bitness your application runs with. See [32-bit and 64-bit Applications](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/requirements/32-bit-64-bit/llms-full.txt).
- **The toolbox manifest** puts the controls of *TXTextControl.WPF.dll* in the toolbox category **TX Text Control 34.0** of the WPF designer. See [Visual Studio Toolbox and XAML Designer](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/toolbox/#the-toolbox-tab).
- **No designer assembly.** The WPF package has no separate design-time assembly; the controls are in *TXTextControl.WPF.dll*, which XAML maps with the namespace `clr-namespace:TXTextControl.WPF;assembly=TXTextControl.WPF`. See [Assemblies and XAML Namespaces](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/xaml-namespaces/llms-full.txt).

### Versions and Service Packs

The first two numbers of a package version are the major version of TX Text Control, and the third number is the service pack:

| Package version | Release | Released |
|---|---|---|
| 34.0.0 | Version 34.0 | November 7, 2025 |
| 34.0.1 | Service Pack 1 | November 27, 2025 |
| 34.0.2 | Service Pack 2 | February 18, 2026 |
| 34.0.3 | Service Pack 3 | February 27, 2026 |
| 34.0.4 | Service Pack 4 | May 20, 2026 |
| 34.0.5 | Service Pack 5 | September 14, 2026 |

Earlier major versions have their own package versions, with different target frameworks:

| Package versions | Target framework | License in the package |
|---|---|---|
| 33.0.0 to 33.0.3 | .NET 8 | *txtextcontrol.wpf.license* |
| 32.0.2 to 32.0.5 | .NET 6 | *txtextcontrol.wpf.license* |
| 32.0.0 and 32.0.1 | .NET 5 | *licenses.licx* |

A service pack is an update of the package version in your project, described in [Installing and Updating Packages](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/nuget/install-update/llms-full.txt). A new major version is covered in [Upgrading from Previous Versions](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/upgrading/previous-versions/llms-full.txt).
