Every license of TX Text Control .NET for WPF is for one of three editions: Enterprise, Professional or Standard. The editor, its XAML controls and its programming interface are the same in all three; what differs is the set of features and file formats that work. Compare the editions below before you buy, and check them again when a feature this documentation describes isn't available in your application.

### The Editions

| Edition | For |
|---|---|
| Enterprise | Applications that need the complete feature set, including PDF/A, PDF/UA, form fields, footnotes, tables of contents and XML |
| Professional | Applications with Word formats, PDF, mail merge and reporting, the ribbon tabs, comments and track changes |
| Standard | Applications that need a rich text editor with RTF and HTML, tables, images, lists and printing |
| Trial | Evaluating the product before you buy it |

- **One setup for all editions.** The Enterprise, Professional and Standard editions are installed with the same setup of the full version; the trial has a setup of its own. See [Choose the Setup](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/installation/setup/#choose-the-setup).
- **Pricing.** The price list of TX Text Control .NET for WPF offers the Professional and Enterprise editions, each as a single developer license and as a team license. For questions about the Standard edition, contact the [Text Control sales team](https://www.textcontrol.com/contact/).
- **No Express edition.** Text Control's free Express edition exists only for Windows Forms, as *TX Text Control.NET for Windows Forms 34.0 Express.exe*. There is no free edition of the WPF product.
- **The trial version** is fully featured and free for 30 days; [Trial Version](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/overview/licensing/#trial-version) says what it may be used for.

### Check the Edition at Run Time

[WPF.TextControl.GetVersionInfo](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/textcontrol/getversioninfo-method/llms-full.txt) returns a [VersionInfo](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/versioninfo/llms-full.txt), whose `Level` property tells which edition the application runs with. The reference lists this property under the name of its type, [ProductLevel](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/versioninfo/productlevel-property/llms-full.txt); in code, it is `Level`. The following handler of a button in *MainWindow.xaml.cs* shows it:

```csharp
using System.Windows;
using TXTextControl;
private void editionButton_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
{
    // Show the edition, for example "Professional"
    VersionInfo versionInfo = textControl1.GetVersionInfo();
    MessageBox.Show(versionInfo.Level.ToString());
}
```

`Level` returns a value of `VersionInfo.ProductLevel`: `Enterprise`, `Professional` or `Standard` for the three editions, and `Trial` for the trial version.
