### Description

Gets or sets the bullet character at the current input position. If text is selected, the property specifies the bullet character of the whole selected text.

### Syntax

```csharp
public char? BulletCharacter { get; set; }
```

```vbnet
Public Property BulletCharacter As Char?
```

### Examples

The following XAML example shows how to bind the BulletCharacter property to a checkable menu item showing a diamond shaped bullet using the [WPF.BooleanConverter](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/booleanconverter/llms-full.txt) class. (For other possible bullet characters see character codes of the "Symbol" font)

```plaintext
…
xmlns:tx="clr-namespace:TXTextControl.WPF;assembly=TXTextControl.WPF"
…
<Window.Resources>
    <tx:BooleanConverter x:Key="boolConv" />
</Window.Resources>
…
<MenuItem
    Header="¨"
    FontFamily="Symbol"
    IsCheckable="True"
    IsChecked="{Binding
        ElementName=textControl1,
        Path=InputFormat.BulletCharacter,
        Converter={StaticResource boolConv},
        ConverterParameter=¨}" />
```

The following example changes the formatting applied to text entered at the end of a document by using `InputFormat.BulletCharacter`.

```csharp
textControl.Text = "Project summary";
textControl.InputPosition = new InputPosition(textControl.Text.Length);
InputFormat inputFormat = textControl.InputFormat;
inputFormat.BulletCharacter = 'A';
if (inputFormat.BulletCharacter != null)
{
    Console.WriteLine("Input Format: Bullet Character is available.");
}
```

```vbnet
textControl.Text = "Project summary"
textControl.InputPosition = New InputPosition(textControl.Text.Length)
Dim inputFormat As InputFormat = textControl.InputFormat
inputFormat.BulletCharacter = "A"c
If inputFormat.BulletCharacter IsNot Nothing Then
    Console.WriteLine("Input Format: Bullet Character is available.")
End If
```

### Remarks

The property returns null when the text selection contains several lists with different bullet characters.
