Version 26.0 was released on November 14, 2018, as TX Text Control X16, together with TX Text Control .NET Server, TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms, TX Text Control ActiveX and TX Barcode .NET 5.0. Each [TrackedChange](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/trackedchange/llms-full.txt) has a start position, a length, a [ChangeKind](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/trackedchange/changekind-property/llms-full.txt) for inserted or deleted text, a [ChangeTime](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/trackedchange/changetime-property/llms-full.txt) and a [UserName](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/trackedchange/username-property/llms-full.txt). - **Users.** A new change belongs to the current user, the first name in [TextControl.UserNames](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/textcontrol/usernames-property/llms-full.txt). An empty list means an unknown user. - **Accepting and rejecting.** The only way to remove a tracked change is to accept or reject it with [TrackedChangeCollection.Remove](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/trackedchangecollection/remove-method/llms-full.txt). - **Highlighting.** Changes are highlighted in a color per user, red for the current user by default. Inserted text is shown in the color, deleted text in the color and struck through. - **Events.** `TextControl` raises [TrackedChangeCreated](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/textcontrol/trackedchangecreated-event/llms-full.txt), [TrackedChangeDeleted](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/textcontrol/trackedchangedeleted-event/llms-full.txt) and [TrackedChangeChanged](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/textcontrol/trackedchangechanged-event/llms-full.txt), and [TrackedChangeStateChanged](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/textcontrol/trackedchangestatechanged-event/llms-full.txt) when a change becomes active or inactive. Some complex operations, such as deleting a table column, can't be tracked; `TextControl` then raises [CannotTrackChange](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/textcontrol/cannottrackchange-event/llms-full.txt), and the user decides whether the change is made. - **Ribbon.** The [RibbonProofingTab](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/ribbonproofingtab/llms-full.txt) received a Track Changes group whose buttons switch tracking on and off, accept and reject changes and move to the next or previous change. - **File formats.** Tracked changes are saved and loaded with the TX Text Control format, RTF, DOC and DOCX. ### The Sidebar Control The new [Sidebar](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/sidebar/llms-full.txt) is a control that an application places in its window as an alternative to dialog boxes. See [Sidebar and Panels](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/document-editor/ribbon-ui/sidebar/llms-full.txt). - **Docked or floating.** [IsPinned](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/sidebar/ispinned-property/llms-full.txt) shows the sidebar inside the window or as a dialog, and users can pin and unpin it. - **Content.** A sidebar shows content of your own or one of several predefined layouts, which are connected to a `TextControl`. - **Ribbon buttons.** A ribbon tab can open a vertical and a horizontal sidebar with a toggle button. The [StreamType](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/streamtype/enumeration/llms-full.txt) enumeration received the value `SpreadsheetML`. - Only the first worksheet of a workbook is imported. [LoadSettings.GetDocumentPartNames](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/loadsettings/getdocumentpartnames-method/llms-full.txt) and [LoadSettings.DocumentPartName](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/loadsettings/documentpartname-property/llms-full.txt), listed as new in this version, list and select the parts of a document. - Formulas that reference cells of other worksheets or other files aren't supported. [Supported File Formats](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/overview/file-formats/llms-full.txt) lists the formats of today's version. ### Formulas and Number Formats in Tables A table cell can calculate its content from other cells with a formula, which is loaded from a SpreadsheetML document or set in code. - **API.** Version 26.0 added [TableCell.Formula](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/tablecell/formula-property/llms-full.txt), the A1 and R1C1 notations of [TextControl.FormulaReferenceStyle](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/textcontrol/formulareferencestyle-property/llms-full.txt), [TableCellFormat.NumberFormat](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/tablecellformat/numberformat-property/llms-full.txt) for the result, and [FormulaException](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/formulaexception/llms-full.txt) and [NumberFormatException](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol/numberformatexception/llms-full.txt) for invalid input. - **User interface.** The table format dialog box received a tab for the formula and the number format, and the new [RibbonFormulaTab](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/ribbonformulatab/llms-full.txt) edits formulas. [RulerBar.FormulaMode](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-wpf/rulerbar/formulamode-property/llms-full.txt) shows the cell references in the ruler bars. [Calculate With Formulas](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/document-editor/tables/#calculate-with-formulas) explains formulas, cell references and number formats as they work today, and [Formula Functions](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/formula-functions/llms-full.txt) lists the functions. #### Keyboard Behavior in Tables Two keys work differently in tables since version 26.0: - The TAB key in the last cell of a table adds a new row at the end of the table. - The ENTER key at the first input position of a document that starts with a table inserts an empty line before the table. ### Mail Merge [MailMerge](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-documentserver/mailmerge/llms-full.txt) creates documents from a template and data. Version 26.0 gave it more control over empty lines and over merge blocks, the sections of a template that are repeated for each record. - **Empty lines.** [MailMerge.RemoveEmptyLines](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-documentserver/mailmerge/removeemptylines-property/llms-full.txt) removes lines that are empty after the data has been merged. - **Conditions.** [MergeBlockInfo.BlockMergingCondition](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-documentserver-datasources/mergeblockinfo/blockmergingcondition-property/llms-full.txt) decides whether a block is merged or left out, from a column of the parent data row and a comparison such as "greater than", "is not blank" or "equal to". - **Filters and sorting.** `MergeBlockInfo.Filters` takes [FilterInstruction](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-documentserver-datashaping/filterinstruction/llms-full.txt) objects, which can be combined with "and" and "or". `MergeBlockInfo.SortingInstructions` takes [SortingInstruction](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-documentserver-datashaping/sortinginstruction/llms-full.txt) objects, which sort in ascending or descending order by several columns. - **The Filter and Sort dialog box.** [DocumentServer.WPF.FilterAndSortDialog](https://docs.textcontrol.com/tx-text-control-dotnet-wpf/reference/txtextcontrol-documentserver-wpf/filterandsortdialog/llms-full.txt) lets users define filters and sorting instructions.
