Installation Guide
Before you write the first line of code with TX Spell .NET for WPF, three things have to be in place: a supported development environment, the setup on your development machine, and a way for your projects to get the NuGet packages and your license. Read on for what to install, where the files end up and how a project gets them, from the system requirements to upgrading an existing application.
How You Get the Product
| Development machine | Build server or CI/CD pipeline | |
|---|---|---|
| What you install | The setup of the full or the trial version | Nothing: only the NuGet package |
| .NET 8 or higher projects | Install TXTextControl.TXSpell.WPF.SDK from the local package source Text Control Offline Packages | Restore the package from the Text Control Private NuGet Feed or your own feed |
| .NET Framework projects | Reference the assemblies in the Assembly folder of the installation | Build with the assemblies of the installation |
| Visual Studio designer | Not needed for TX Spell .NET: the spell checker is declared in XAML | Not needed |
| Language data | Installed with the setup and brought by the package | Brought by the package |
The Installation Path
- Check the System Requirements: .NET 8 or higher or the .NET Framework, Windows 10 or 11, and Visual Studio 2022.
- Run the setup, as Installing the Product describes.
- Install the package in your project, as Installing and Updating Packages shows, or reference the assemblies in a .NET Framework project.
