Server Programming
Scripting engines such as Windows Scripting Host or Internet Information Server can use TX Text Control ActiveX as an automation server. Read on for the method that turns it on and the members a script cannot use while it runs this way.
Enable the Automation Server
Important
Call EnableAutomationServer First. After your script creates the
TXTextControlautomation object, the first call must be EnableAutomationServer. It returnsTrueif the control now works as an automation server andFalseotherwise.
All properties and methods of TXTextControl can then be used, except those that need a visible surface: dialog boxes, toolbars and all features that change how a document is displayed.
