What's New in TX Text Control ActiveX 24.0

Colored paragraph backgrounds and frame lines, new zoom options and read-only toolbars are the main additions of TX Text Control ActiveX 24.0. Read on for all features, properties and methods added since version 23.0 and the members whose parameters changed.

New Features

  • Colored paragraphs. A paragraph's background and the lines of a paragraph frame can be colored. FrameColor and FrameLineColor get or set these colors. The built-in dialog box for paragraph attributes, the TX Text Control file format and all text filters support them.
  • Zooming. New zoom options zoom the contents of a TXTextControl so that the whole page, the complete width of a page or the complete text of a line becomes visible. You use them with the new Zoom method. The TXStatusBar control has two new buttons for this feature.
  • Toolbars. TXButtonBar and TXRulerBar can now be set to read-only. A read-only toolbar still shows all formatting attributes of the connected TXTextControl, but they cannot be changed from it.
  • Built-in dialog boxes. ParagraphDialog, TableAttrDialog and ObjectAttrDialog have a new optional parameter that specifies the tab shown when the dialog box opens.
  • Text fields. When a text field has a doubled input position at its beginning and at its end, each of these positions can now be reached with a mouse click.
