What's New in TX Text Control ActiveX 23.0
With TX Text Control ActiveX 23.0, end users insert symbol characters from a dialog box and draw text frames with the mouse, bullets can use any font and Unicode character, and document properties such as the author travel with every text format. The sections below list what changed since version 22.0.
New Features
- Inserting symbol characters. A new dialog box, opened with InsertSymbolDialog, inserts one or more symbol characters into the document.
- Saving document properties. General document properties, such as the creation date, keywords or author, can be saved and loaded with all supported text formats. The new LoadSaveAttribute settings are
txCreationDate,txAuthor,txDocKeywords,txLastModificationDate,txDocSubjectandtxCreatorApplication. - Bulleted lists. The bullet character is no longer limited to the Windows Symbol font. The new BulletAttribute setting
txBulletFontspecifies the font of the bullet character, and the bullet character itself can be any Unicode character. The ListAttrDialog dialog box lets the user specify a font and a Unicode character. - Inserting text frames. A new built-in mouse interface inserts a text frame into the document. It starts when the
WidthorHeightparameter of TextFrameInsert, TextFrameInsertAsChar or TextFrameInsertFixed is set to zero. The end user then clicks into the document and draws a frame that determines the position of the text frame. When the mouse button is released, the new text frame is created and inserted into the document.
