If you move an application to TX Text Control ActiveX 21.0, you gain a find and replace that searches text frames, headers and footers, control over pasting from the clipboard and members that locate, measure and select pages and sections. What follows covers every feature and member added since version 20.0.
New Features
- Find and replace. The built-in find and replace dialog boxes no longer limit the search to the main text: it continues in text frames and in headers and footers. A new option,
MatchWholeWord, in the dialog box and in the Find method finds only instances of the search text that are whole words. - Table programming. TableSelectCells selects the part of a table defined by two table cells.
- Pasting data from the clipboard. You can change the default behavior of pasting data from the clipboard with the new ClipboardFormats property and the new Paste method.
- Sections and pages. PageStart and SectionStart tell you where a certain page or section begins, and PageLength and SectionLength how many characters it contains. PageSelect and SectionSelect select a certain page or section.
- Resource kit. The built-in Find, Replace and Color dialog boxes are now part of the resource kit and can be localized, as Resources and Localization describes.
