TX Text Control ActiveX

What's New in TX Text Control ActiveX 22.0

Topic

Version 22.0 of TX Text Control ActiveX appends documents to each other, loads and saves images through the Windows Imaging Component and adds members for paragraphs, pages and the text input position. The changes since version 21.0 follow, each linked to its reference page.

New Features

  • Merging documents. Append and AppendFromMemory load text in a certain format from a file, a byte array or a string and append it to the existing document. You specify whether the text is appended at the end of the document or whether a new paragraph or section is created for it.
  • Loading and saving images. TX Text Control now uses the Windows Imaging Component (WIC), a codec framework based on the Component Object Model for processing digital images and image metadata. Images can now also be exported as Tagged Image Format (TIF) and Graphics Interchange Format (GIF). ImageExportFormat and the constant txImageExportFormat (19) of LoadSaveAttribute support this feature.
  • Programming features. ParagraphCount and ParagraphSelect extend programming with paragraphs. GetCaretRect and GetCharRect support programming with the text input position.
