New Features

TX Text Control 34.0 provides the following new features:

PDF Accessibility and PDF/A-3 Support

PDF documents includes now several features in support of accessibility of documents to users with disabilities. In addition to the document's visible content a logical structure is stored separately from its visible content, with pointers from each to the other. This separation allows the ordering and nesting of logical elements to be entirely independent of the order and location of graphics objects on the document's pages. This tree includes the organization of the document into chapters, headings, paragraphs and sections and the identification of special elements such as textframes, tables, tables of contents and footnotes. A descriptive text for hypertext links, form fields, tables, images, textframes, drawings and other objects in the document can be provided with the HypertextLink.DescriptiveText, DocumentLink.DescriptiveText, FormField.DescriptiveText, Table.DescriptiveText and FrameBase.DescriptiveText properties.

Linux Support

Linux-based applications can handle now documents formatted with Rich Text Format (.rtf) and can integrate images in Windows Enhanced Metafile (.emf) format.

HTML5 Document Editor

All built-in dialogboxes are now available in the Linux-based HTML5 Document Editor. Ribbons and context menus have been changed and have now the same functionality as the Windows-based Document Editor.
