Where to Start

  1. Upgrading to a new major version? Read Breaking Changes for every version between yours and the target, then the pages of the versions you skip, for the features you gain.
  2. Staying on your major version? Service Packs lists what the updates of your version changed. Text Control recommends updating to the latest service pack.
  3. Maintaining older code? Check it against Deprecated APIs and replace the obsolete members it uses.

The Upgrade Guide takes you through the upgrade itself: the NuGet and npm packages, the code changes and the redeployment.
